At our company, internships aren't an afterthought. They're an investment in the future. Motivated interns are warmly welcomed. Our full-stack internship projects are 100% practice-oriented. You'll learn from experienced developers and work on technology that people will actually use.
I helped build a large, complex project where my contribution really mattered. I took part on every front, from concept to client meetings. I got lucky: my internship was one of the most interesting of my year.
Yannick, Applied Computer Science student (now working as a developer at Teal Partners)
Our self-management principles, based on freedom and trust, also shape our internships. We don't leave you to fend for yourself, but we give you the chance to work alongside us in practice and take real responsibility.
No finger exercises or fictional cases. No endless stream of tickets. Instead, real projects with real deadlines. You'll actively contribute to full-stack software projects for our clients. The code you write matters. You'll build something that will actually be used.
Our developers have an average of 12 years of experience. As an intern, you get a personal mentor and join a team of experienced professionals. We take the time to guide you and challenge you to grow independently.
You'll be given real responsibility within a team working for our clients. You're a full team member contributing something that adds value to our applications, without too much pressure. Making mistakes is allowed. You'll get feedback you can actually do something with. At the end of your internship, you'll present the results of your work to all your colleagues.
As an intern, you won't be working on a loose experiment but on a proof of concept. Think AI chatbots, data integrations, or smart tools for HR. Together with your mentor, you'll develop a real solution that we then test. Your code won't end up in a drawer.
"When you come out of school, you can't really program yet, not really. In the professional field, it's much more complex. My colleagues were patient and helped me well. I learned to ask for help."
Dylan, Applied Computer Science student
During your studies, you'll have gained a lot of knowledge, but some things you only discover in practice. What you'll learn depends on your assignment.
"It was harder than I expected, but because of that I learned so much."
Max, IT-software student
Intern Mathijs built an AI chatbot that calls functions in HR software on its own. He tested how far you can get with LLM tool calling in a realistic use case, specifically in the core HR software of Buddy, the payroll software solution we're building for SD Worx. Read more about the internship in the article on our website 'AI in practice'.
Intern Dylan helped develop a recruitment module for SMEs. The goal of the application was to share information about candidates and the application process among colleagues at a temp agency, not by email but through a portal where information is stored centrally. He built a proof of concept that shows companies how it works.
Intern Yannick worked on a reporting module for SD Worx Staffing. He investigated how candidates for temp jobs come in digitally and what kind of return the placement of these candidates yields. In other words: which digital platforms offer the best return on investment? Thanks to data analysis, he was able to provide a clear answer.
Both bachelor's and master's students in IT, including Bachelor in Applied Computer Science, Master in Computer Science / Applied Computer Science, and certain engineering programmes.
Our developers attend various internship fairs, but we also gladly receive open applications at thesis@tealpartners.com. We review and evaluate every CV and motivation letter sent to us. You'll always get a reply.
We invite you to our office and have a conversation about your motivation and technical background. During the meeting, we tell you more about the assignment and check whether it fits well with your interests. Our internship proposals provide direction, but there's room to adjust and shift focus. If both sides feel good about the meeting, you can start.
With us, you're always an intern for several weeks. You need that time to get up to speed and actually learn something. We don't offer shorter internships. Most internships take place in the spring.
You work at our office in Antwerp. We provide a laptop. You're part of the team, so you join us for lunch, get invited to events, and are welcome at our bar on Friday evenings where we wrap up the week together.
Our screening is thorough. Even as an intern, we only move forward if we're convinced of your motivation, your qualities, and your fit with the Teal way of working. Because the assignments are practice-oriented, many interns discover with us where their heart lies. Some go on to further studies to specialise; others sign a contract at the end of their internship. It depends on how the internship goes.
