SD Worx Buddy Core HR crosses borders

After Germany and Finland, HR service provider SD Worx is now also introducing the core HR solution Buddy Core HR in Luxembourg. This software, developed by Teal Partners, helps SMEs manage their HR processes and personnel data more efficiently. A team from Teal Partners adapts the software to the specific regulations of each new country, working together with local specialists from SD Worx.

Buddy Core HR helps companies with personnel administration, calendar and benefits management. It centralizes all personnel data and fully integrates with payroll processing. The software is specifically developed for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The tool is available to SD Worx customers. It is now active in Germany, Finland, and Luxembourg. In the latter two countries, the core HR module integrates with the local payroll engine. In Germany, customers also have access to the new cloud-based, continuous payroll technology that replaces batch processing.

SD Worx Buddy Core HR

The core HR solution is part of the broader SD Worx Buddy software package. It consists of three components: Core HR for personnel management, Time for workforce management, and Payroll for continuous payroll management.

More transparent and efficient

Buddy Core HR is a major step forward for existing SD Worx customers and a compelling tool to attract new customers. What makes the software so special?

1. Time savings for HR

Employees request leave themselves, submit expenses, and easily update their personal information. Onboarding new employees also proceeds much more smoothly. This saves HR a lot of time.

2. Better insights for business leaders

Buddy offers, among other things, a clear overview of the total compensation package, including smartphones, laptops, insurance, cars, bonuses, and much more. Extensive reports on employer costs, absences, or total hours worked provide business leaders with valuable insights.

3. Autonomy and transparency for employees

In addition to more autonomy in managing their HR data, employees also have a better view of their compensation and benefits. All information is centralized in one place.

Initial customer reactions

Besides time savings, users appreciate the intuitive interface, the simplicity of the screens, and the logical access to information. Petteri Hannula from Finland: "Our customers love the modern look and feel of the software. For SMEs switching from spreadsheets, Buddy makes a world of difference."

Tom Brahy from Luxembourg: "We hear in the market that customers are longing for a solution like this. Currently, three customers are using Buddy in Luxembourg: a recruitment company and two businesses in the automotive sector. They respond very positively. They particularly appreciate the integrated employee portal, document management, and expense management."

Localization: customization per country

The introduction of Buddy Core HR in a new country takes six months. A four-person localization team from Teal Partners coordinates this process. Because labor legislation differs by country, the team works closely with local experts from SD Worx. Through workshops, they map out the specific requirements and accurately translate them into the software.

Jan Dillen from Teal Partners explains how this works in practice. "In Luxembourg, company cars are an important compensation element. It's also characteristic that the government routinely reimburses training. We've refined our software so that HR managers can manage cars even more efficiently within the compensation package, and we've developed an extra module for the training programs."

Localization team

Ruth Boelens adds: "In Germany, a physical disability affects payroll and this information must be included in the core HR data, while in Finland this belongs to the private sphere. Think of our software as a tailored suit: we start with a general design and refine it in detail for each country. In six months, the suit fits perfectly. That's fast, especially since we deliver a ready-made solution."

Tom Brahy from SD Worx Luxembourg emphasizes that the success of a tool depends on how locally relevant it is. "It means that companies don't need workarounds. That makes a world of difference."
