Once again, Teal Partners recorded strong growth. We surpassed the milestone of €10 million in revenue in 2024, a quarter more than the previous year. Our projects with clients are paying off. With the rewards tool Youbo, we launched our first proprietary product. Now, we eagerly look forward to this new year, during which we will roll out our payroll technology in Germany in partnership with SD Worx.
2025 will be the year of internationalization, as we are also crossing borders in the staffing industry. Founders Koen Denies and Jelle Huygen look back and ahead.
Koen Denies: "We see that our ambitious projects with our clients are paying off. Our footprint is growing and our tools are gaining ground. We pride ourselves on setting a new standard in the industry with our technology, and we have proven this once again. At Actief Interim, we have reshaped the digital landscape together over the past four years. This is now reflected in their figures. Actief Interim is one of the best-performing staffing agencies in the country, growing well above the market and experiencing a very strong increase in productivity. Digitalization plays an important role in this."
Jelle Huygen: "In the summer, we launched the pilot of Buddy for SD Worx, a platform for Belgian SMEs. Through Buddy, companies combine core HR tasks with real-time payroll calculations and simulations. More than 60 companies with a total of over 3,000 employees are now successfully using Buddy."
Koen Denies: "We also built the Flex Income Plan software for SD Worx. With it, employees can more easily manage their cafeteria plan budget. Hundreds of companies with more than one hundred thousand users are now using it."
Jelle Huygen: "The social elections in May were also a highlight. Every four years, 4,000 Belgian companies elect a new works council and 7,000 companies elect a new committee for prevention and protection at work. We developed the software for these elections, which went live simultaneously at thousands of companies. From Teal Partners, we supported SD Worx, Partena, and Acerta in using the software for their clients. It was exciting to see the technology being deployed on such a scale, and we are proud that everything went smoothly."
Jelle Huygen: "That's right, our rewards tool Youbo helps companies assign salary increases and bonuses more efficiently. Many companies still do this with spreadsheets, but it can be done faster, better, and more securely. That's why we built Youbo."
Koen Denies: "The reports in Youbo provide insight into salary trends. With the rise of pay transparency and new ESG regulations, I expect companies will be looking for tools like Youbo. Meanwhile, several clients, including DPG Media and chemical company Kaneka, are already successfully using Youbo."
Jelle Huygen: "Currently we are sixty people, and in 2024 eighteen colleagues joined us. That's more than a third increase and such growth brings challenges. It's important to familiarize newcomers with our expertise in employment, with our flat structure and our unique principles of self-management and autonomy. We're getting better at this. We've learned how to welcome such a large group of people and make them truly part of Teal Partners. Growth is complex, but we've got it under control."
Koen Denies: "I'm proud of our achievements for clients, and just as proud of our team. Our people consciously choose to set the bar high and deliver ambitious projects. Everyone who works at Teal Partners is intrinsically motivated. We find satisfaction in our work and enjoy our jobs. It makes me incredibly happy that everyone loves working here."
Koen Denies: "It will be a crucial year for us. Soon we will launch our payroll software in Germany with SD Worx. Half of the team has worked on it for years. This is a milestone for Teal Partners. Hundreds of thousands of people will eventually use this software and that gives me goosebumps.
It also marks the beginning of our international ambitions. After Germany, we will develop a new payroll engine for Belgium together with SD Worx. The core HR technology that we have also created together will be implemented in Finland and Luxembourg. With our expertise in the staffing industry, we will soon also take international steps. We are really looking forward to it."
